Ballan Integrated Transport Strategy

Project Overview

The Ballan Integrated Transport Strategy (BITS) aims to shape Ballan’s transport future by improving safety, connectivity, and accessibility as the town grows. We’re seeking your feedback on key transport issues to ensure planning for the strategy reflects community needs. We encourage you to share your feedback via the Survey found below. The opportunity to provide feedback closes 11:55pm AEST 22 December 2024.

The survey is now closed. Thanks for participating.

The Ballan Integrated Transport Strategy (BITS) will be a comprehensive plan designed to improve Ballan’s transport infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing population. It will focus on enhancing safety, connectivity, and accessibility for all modes of transport, including walking, cycling, public transport, and vehicles.

BITS is being developed to provide a clear strategic direction to support the transport infrastructure and needs of the Ballan community. It will provide a comprehensive framework aimed at guiding Ballan’s transport infrastructure to meet the needs of its growing population. BITS will focus on enhancing connectivity, safety, and accessibility across multiple modes of transport—such as public transport, active transport (walking and cycling), and vehicle and freight movement. This strategy is vital to supporting sustainable growth and ensuring Ballan remains a connected and accessible community.

The Ballan Integrated Transport Strategy aligns with the Moorabool Shire Council Plan 2021 – 2025 and Ballan’s Vision – Movement Network and Connectivity’s guiding principle.
